It refers to the last Harry Potter book, but Beth doesn't win because she cheated. She didn't guess. She's actually read Harry Potter in French and therefore the odd use of "baguette" was not so odd to her. The article is pretty amusing to me. Harry Potter had its French midnight release this weekend...
Heehee, I don't think I get to play any more...and I'd forgotten that I'd read HP in French, because I'd learned "magic wand" independently of that, but you are right.
